I’ve heard Teal Swan define trauma as “distress without resolve”.

That resonates with me, in that if we receive the proper support to let the energy of challenging experiences be loved and moved, kind of like animals shaking off after a challenging moment, it doesn’t stick to us. We let it go. Our nervous systems release and evolve.

Humans have the added element of the mind, which brings a dimension of needing to understand and spiritually process challenges, especially if you’re a deep thinker and feeler like me. Personally I feel compelled to fully comprehend the challenges I experienced, to deeply learn from them in order to receive the lessons and create meaningful evolution.

My new EP is now in the studio of the producer who’s mixing it to professional perfection! I sold my car (an old one I didn’t need) to get a deposit together, and then considered mixing it myself because I wasn’t sure how / if I could generate the rest of the budget… Thankfully out of the blue he offered me a deal to do it for the amount I had, which is a Miracle!!!!

And… WOW… Just got a text from him that the mixes are done. I’m excited to listen. The mixes were already pretty awesome as I gave them a lot of deep TLC before sending them off… Collaboration is where it’s at though, and I’m excited to see what an experienced producer of his calibre can do to make them shine in their Greatest Potential. Excited!!!!

Today is Truth & Reconciliation Day, an important Canadian holiday providing an opportunity to learn about the trauma caused to Indigenous people by residential schools and support the revolutionary healing / evolutionary journeys now possible for everyone.

Last night I watched the movie “What Men Want”, in which a woman suddenly can hear men’s inner thoughts and creates powerful evolutionary changes because of it. As I was watching, I felt certain aspects shine with relevance. At one point she asks for help from the mystical psychic character played by Erika Badu, who advises her, “with Power comes responsibility to tell the Truth”. The rain is pouring passionately as I write right now. I love the sounds, the energy, and that it’s nourishing the Earth. I’m having a moment of feeling (as I often do when walking in the forest), that this is Wealth. An Abundance of Life, of Well-Being, of Support.
